Deblina Chakrabarty

Deblina Chakrabarty is a seasoned media and entertainment professional with over 15 years of global experience focused on content acquisition and distribution across major markets. Currently she is VP of International TV Distribution at MGM Studios. In addition to extensive Hollywood studio experience at Metro-Goldwyn Mayer, has also worked in leading Indian media and broadcast networks and is a skilled and enthusiastic deal-maker with exposure and expertise in a variety of media and markets.

Her philanthropic work includes 4 years of mentoring social entrepreneurs via UnLtd UK where she and her mentee Bridget Birden of Meanwhile Club were recognised as one of the examples of mentoring initiatives done right in 2017. She has also done extensive social volunteering for 4 years as an undergraduate student in St. Xavier’s College Mumbai as part of the Social Service League including organising blood drives, weekend fun fairs for underprivileged children and annual rural manual labour camps to help tribal communities.

She is also a published writer with columns in most major Indian publications viz. Mans World magazine, The Times of India, Mid-Day, DNA and most recently, her short stories are part of the anthology May We Borrow Your Country published in UK in January 2019 by independent publishing house Linen Press.
